Cookies

Only the cookies we need to keep you signed in and your forms safe. No tracking, no advertising.

In short

Present Tense uses only the cookies it needs to work. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, we do not sell data, and our analytics are cookieless.

Strictly necessary cookies

On the app (console.present-tense.io) we set two cookies. A session cookie keeps you signed in. A security cookie protects forms against cross-site request forgery.

Both are set by us, are sent only to our own API, and are required for sign-in to work. They are not used to build a profile and are not shared with anyone.

Analytics

Product analytics are cookieless. We count page views and basic device categories in aggregate, with no personal identifiers, no cross-site tracking, and no data sold or shared with ad networks. See the analytics note in our privacy policy.

Why there is no consent banner

Consent banners exist for cookies used to track or advertise. We use only strictly necessary cookies, and our analytics are cookieless, so there is nothing to opt into. If that ever changes, we will ask first.

Managing cookies

You can block or clear cookies in your browser at any time. Blocking the session cookie means you will not be able to stay signed in; everything else keeps working.
